Updated Comprehensive Oilgae Report

The Comprehensive Oilgae Report is the most detailed intelligence report for the algae fuel industry. Compiled by a team of researchers over a two year period, it comprises the collective intelligence of over 100 experts, scientists and investors belonging to the algae fuel sector.

The report has been updated in November and now comprises the latest data and insights that will be invaluable for those keen on exploring the algae fuel opportunities. The report also comes with free additional research support from the Oilgae team and access to the subsequent three updates at no additional cost.

Origin Oil Enters into a OEM Partnership with Desmet Ballestra - Origin Oil will work with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to integrate its extraction technology into their branded systems.

The OEM category includes manufacturers, distributors, engineering service firms, system integrators and also specialty operators in high-value market such as nutritionals and beauty products. For this venture, the company will be backed by its few strategic partners to help prove and scale the company's extraction technology. Ricks Eckeleberry says that they now plan to embed their technology into the industrial algae systems that others build.

New Algae Harvesting Technique from Innova Tech - Algae fuels commercialization faces challenges in every part of the value chain. Starting from strain selection to product extraction there are biological and engineering breakthroughs which are required to make algae fuels a reality. With respect to harvesting, the main issue is the energy required to remove the algae cells from the liquid media. A company by name Innova Tech have brought about a new method to efficiently separate algae particles from the liquid medium.

Algae Venture's Harvesting System - Algae biodiesel could soon be at par with oil in terms of price if given adequate tax benefits. The Head of the Algal Biomass Organization predicts that this would happen in the next seven years. The big hurdle for the industry is strain identification. This would not be a problem given the rapid advances in genetic and molecular screening techniques.
